Items & equipment

Every item in the game: what it does and every place it comes from. Drop chances are read from the same tables the game rolls, so they're always current.

Equipping

Gear adds health, damage, speed, critical or armor. Each team stand holds up to 3. Equip and unequip them from the items page or from a stand's panel on the team page. Gear stays on a stand that leaves the team: the items page lists what your stands in storage hold, and takes it back one piece at a time or all at once. Some gear has its own special that charges during fights. Usable items are spent from the items page; materials go into crafting. Spare items sell for a tenth of their shop price; free drops can't be sold but can be traded.

How gear scales

An item's numbers grow with the stand's stars: each ★ adds 22%, so at ★5 an item gives 2.11× what it says. Then the stand's types apply on top (a Health type multiplies the health an item gives, a Luck type adds its crit to the item's). Gear also powers specials: every special scales with one stat (shown on each stand's page), and lifting that stat above the stand's natural value makes the special stronger. Luck specials gain about 1.2% per crit point, speed specials 2% per speed point, and health specials grow with the share of health added.

That opens off-meta builds. A revenge tank like Wonder of U wants health (its special returns the health it has lost, exponentially more the lower it falls) and luck (its special scales with crit): Calamity Charm, Rokakaka Branch and Iggy's Collar to draw the hits. Speed and luck strikers want Valkyrie's Horseshoe, armored crit stands want Mista's Hat.

Any stand can tank. Five items make their holder taunt, each with its own style: Iggy's Collar is plain bulk, Josuke's Comb grows angrier with every hit, the Yellow Temperance Slime hits back, Avdol's Ankh survives one killing blow, and Abbacchio's Badge armors the whole team. Two or three of the Comb, Slime and Ankh on one stand light up the Bodyguards set.

Refining

Fuse a spare copy of a piece of gear into another in the forge (the items page, or ⚒ on a team stand's item): each level adds 10% of the item's listed stats and makes its fight ability (Stone Mask, Red Stone of Aja, Steel Ball…) 10% stronger, up to +5. It costs 2 500, 5 000, 10 000, 10 000, 10 000 Meteor Dust for +1 to +5. What your team wears is refined first; the forge shows exactly what each level adds.

Stand chips

Chips are small random stat boosts socketed into a stand of their synergy group: one slot, plus one per awakening. Combine spare chips of one tier in the chips forge (8 common, 4 rare, 2 epic) into a new chip of the synergy you pick: it usually keeps the tier, with a 10% chance to climb one. Your weakest rolls go in first; socketed chips are never used. Chips work everywhere except PvP (duels, gang wars and the Gang Cup), which also leaves out prestige and Heaven's Door training gains.
